DKNYxPONY

Last night was one of the most fun nights of my life. I was extended the privilege of hosting a launch party for DKNY and PONY's newest collaboration, an all-white white sneaker that hearkens to the nostalgia of the year 1990. This event meant a lot to me on so many levels--not only was I born in the year 1990, I was beyond honored that DKNY and PONY thought me worthy to represent them. Given the fact that these companies' names stand for Donna Karan New York and Product Of New York, respectfully, it was a big deal that I was considered New York enough to do this gig. I've been bicoastal for a mere six months but I've been making mad moves in this time, and as trite as it sounds, I have never felt more at home anywhere else in the world. Growing up, I moved literally every year, which kind of sucked but also served the dual purpose of instilling a sense of wanderlust and restlessness in me. New York is the only place where I really belong. I felt like last night was the cumulation of both my hard work and the discovery of "home", and an initiation of sorts. And I got to ring in this new chapter with my dearest friends. I'm looking forward to my future here.

The Look:

  2. Sounds absolutely amazing. I've still yet to find the place that feels like home but it's a good excuse to travel all over until I find it. Your outfit is just perfection, as all of your outfits are, and the photos are so on point. Congrats on this amazing opportunity!
