You Glow, Girl

Now that it's officially Fall, I'm clinging onto the golden skin of summer as long as I can.

I have a confession: I REFUSE to lay out in the sun. If you don’t know by now (you should, but that’s ok!), the sun’s harsh rays can cause a myriad of skin issues. Not even tanning beds are safe. Between elevating your risk of skin cancer, to the risk of discoloration, the sun is just not your friend.

That being said, fear not - you can still be the golden goddess of your dreams. I recently experienced my first spray tan and I've become OBSESSED. I want to share how you can get that glow from home!

  1. If you haven’t heard of Tan Luxe, I’m here to tell you that they are worth hearing about. Tan Luxe is a UK based beauty brand offering a variety of self-tanners for any occasion. Whether you in need of a quick glow-up or radiance that lasts, Tan Luxe has your back. My favorite part is that the shades are customizable, and available for both face and body. Just add 2-6 drops to your favorite moisturizer and you’re ready to glow.

  1. Doesn’t it suck when you set time aside to perfectly apply your self-tanner only to have to do it again the next week? Say hello to your solution: Vita Liberata’s Phenomenal. Vita Liberata boasts a 2-3 week bronze boost, which makes this a revolutionary (and time-saving) self-tanner!

  1. If you’re new to self-tanning, St. Tropez Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse may be your place to start. This mousse maintains its fluffy nature while you spread it instead of becoming runny, which means you can clearly see where you’ve applied your product and where you need to go back. What's even better is that this amazing formula comes in both classic and express tanning speeds. The only catch is that you need to be quick - this product dries pretty quickly!

  1. Fun fact: this was my first self-tanner ever! I feel like Jergens is everyone’s introduction to the world of glow, but they have come a long way. They have a few different products out now, but if you’re looking for something more subtle, go for the Jergens Natural Glow. It comes in a small variety of shades, but each one only adds a hint of color for that subtle bronze.

  1. Take your glow on the go with Tan Towel! Most self-tanners come in some kind of liquid form, so Tan Towel is great if you’re in a pinch and need something travel friendly. Each wipe exfoliates, hydrates, and delivers a luxurious tan which makes this product a triple-threat.

Do you have any favorites that I missed? Let me know in the comments!
