i don't tux with you

I haven't shot in a studio in a cooool minute. This session was borne out of sheer necessity--a very rare rainy day hit LA when Randy and I were supposed to shoot, so we visited FD Photo Studio and rented out a studio for an hour (only $30/hour btw--I highly recommend). Hence, my outfit may have been fleekin', but my hair was the frizziest, craziest thing from the humidity.

I kept this look super simple and added no accessories but a wide-brimmed fedora and Ganni's gorgeous, shiny Chelsea boot. I love me a good tuxedo dress. It's masculine, it's feminine, it's menswear-inspired womenswear (or womenswear-inspired menswear...break the norm!). This one in particular absolutely slays with the cutout back. Much to my dismay, this dress is 10000% unavailable...it's completely sold out at this point. However, I've curated a selection of similar options for you in the carousel below!

  5. Love this shoot! And $30 an hour is really good. I hadn't thought about doing an actual indoor shoot which is great for this freezing cold NYC weather right now!
